This is a weak bing day master born in the cold winter night. It is better if she was born in the day hours because in the hai hours, the bing cannot warm up the chart. Ding fire is more important for this kind of chart. Besides representing the fire place, a weak fire day master also needs the self stars.

This chart gives us an image of an icy lake with the moon shining above. The jia wood in the year stem is also not beautiful because there is no sun to nourish it and its roots are frozen in zi.

So, my choice is ding-mao as her best luck pillar.

This is a strong xin day master with strongly rooted self stars. When the resource earth star is in the stem, the officer fire stars will not be able to control the metal stars. This means that the strong xin day master can only be weaken by the output stars. Unfortunately, the output water star is not in the stem.

You can guess that the best luck pillar should have water star in the stem. Ren-chen or gui-si?

In the ren-chen luck pillar, there will be a shen-zi-chen positive water frame. However, the chen will destruct the chou and harm the mao. In the gui-si luck pillar, the si will combine with shen and transform into water stars. Since the si has no negative relationship with the natal chart, I will choose gui-si as his best luck pillar.

This is a weak wu earth day master which is rooted in its self star. It is good for a weak day master to be rooted in its self star but wu-chen as a pillar likes to procrastinate. The fire resource stars are also positively rooted but the hai-si clash affects the quality of the resource stars. Besides, si also represents her mother star. This means that this is a "counter the mother" chart. The worrying part of this chart is that the negative wealth water stars are strongly rooted and they are clashing the positive resource fire stars. As always, this kind of chart needs to be very careful with money.

As for balance, this chart needs the officer wood star to be in the stem.

Metal -> Water -> Wood -> Fire -> Earth.

So, her best luck pillar should have the wood star in the stem. Jia-zi or yi-chou?

In the yi-chou luck pillar, there is a chou-chen destruction. There is also a si-you-chou negative metal frame which does not transform because ding-si as a strong block of fire stars will not allow the si to transform. Nevertheless, the metal frame is still unfavorable. So, I will choose jia-zi as her best luck pillar although there is a zi-you destruction.

This chart is a strong geng day master with two fui kong pillars of geng-xu and geng-chen. Among the 60 different possible pillars, there are only four fui kong pillars. The other two fui kong pillars are ren-chen and wu-xu. People with fui kong pillars normally have strong character especially when the day pillar itself is a fui kong pillar.

This strong geng day master needs the water stars to help reduce its strength. Her resource star, ji earth is in the stem. So, the fire stars will not be able to control the metal stars because fire -> earth -> metal. This is ZiPing theory.

Obviously, her best luck pillar should have water star in the stem.

Gui-you or ren-shen?

In the gui-you luck pillar, the you will clash the mao and harm the xu. So, ren-shen luck pillar is better. Although the shen provides the root for the geng stars, the shen and chen have the opportunity of pulling in the gui. The shen also does not have any negative relationships with the natal chart.

This is a weak jia day master with strongly rooted negative wealth earth and negative officer metal stars. The earthly branches too are not that favorable. There is the zi-wu clash and the xu-you harm. This chart needs the positive resource water star to be in the stem to arbitrate the strongly rooted metal stars from countering the weak jia day master. Not only the water stars help to arbitrate the metal-wood clash, it also provides balance to the chart.

Earth -> Metal -> Water -> Wood.

Obviously, the best luck pillar must be the one with the water star in the stem.

Ren-yin or gui-mao?

The gui-mao luck pillar is not that favorable because the mao has negative relationships with three of the four earthly branches. Wu-mao is a punishment, zi-mao is an uncivilized punishment and you-mao is a clash. So, her best luck pillar should be ren-yin. The yin tiger has no negative relationship with the natal chart except that there is a negative fire frame of yin-wu-xu which fortunately cannot transform.

This is a strong ji day master with very strongly rooted self stars. The best element in this kind of chart is the output metal star. Unfortunately, the metal star is not in the stem although she has the rooster you in the year branch. The metal stars are needed to weaken the strong earth energies. The wood stars will not be able to reduce the strength of the earth energies because the resource fire bing is in the stem.

Although water wealth stars are positive, they will be grabbed by the other self stars the moment they appear. So, the metal stars are still the best in this kind of situation.

Geng-wu or xin-wei?

In the geng-wu luck pillar, the yin tiger and wu horse will pull in the xu dog because there is a wu earth in the stem. The xu will destruct the wei, clash with the chen and harm the rooster you. So, geng-wu is not the best choice. I will choose xin-wei because wei has no negative relationship with the natal chart.

    It is my intention in this blog to share my BaZi knowledge through case studies using mostly the ZiPing technical method. This technical method stresses on the production and the destruction cycles of the 5 elements namely wood, fire, earth, metal and water. However, in July 2016, I have decided to include the classical method as I believe that the correct approach towards BaZi is to blend both these methods.
