This is a very interesting chart of Jack Ma who was born on the 10th of September, 1964. He is currently the second richest man in China with a networth of USD27.9 billion as of September 2016. Jack Ma is the founder and executive chairman of the Alibaba Group which is a family of many successful internet businesses. I will not discuss too much about his businesses here as you can easily google about him and will focus on analysing his bazi chart.

I have chosen ren-yin as his hour pillar and with this pillar, this chart will be a strong ren water day master. What makes this chart very special is that the ren water stems in the you autumn season gives us a picture of a pool of crystal clear water. This makes Jack Ma a person with clear visions and these visions have brought him enormous success.

For a strong ren water day master, the jia wood rooted in tiger yin are his positive EG stars. These output stars which represent his desire and ideas, are also instrumental in helping him to implement his business strategies.

His present wu-yin luck pillar is easily his best luck pillar for him. His previous two luck pillars of ding-chou and bing-zi are also positive with his favorable fire wealth stars protruding. Jack Ma entered his wu-yin luck pillar in 2013 and in the following year, Alibaba's IPO priced at USD68 raising USD21.8 billion was the biggest IPO in the US history. This listing makes him a multi billionaire. For a strong day master with self stars protruding in the stems, we need the officer stars to control the self stars. In this luck pillar, the wu earth 7K star which is strongly rooted in xu and chen can do the job effectively. So, everything is under control as strong wu earth helps to contain all the water stars. Ji earth will not be able to control the ren water but instead will contaminate it.

This is also another case of Heavenly Virtue Noble star. For a person born in the you rooster month, his HVN star is the yin tiger which is also his positve EG star. In his present wu-yin luck pillar, the HVN star is activated which means that Jack Ma is also enjoying the blessings from the Heavens. On top of that, the yin and xu are part of the fire frame which represents his wealth.

As for this bing-shen year, on the "Double 11" discount shopping day on the 11th of November, Alibaba posted a 1 day sales record of 120.7 billion yuan which is equivalent to USD17.8 billion. Wow! What a record! His favorable wealth star bing protrudes in this bing-shen year. It's interesting to see how Alibaba will perform in the next "Double 11" day in the ding-you year. Favorable ding fire wealth star will be protruding then.

Do you know that the year pillar allows us to have a glimpse into our past lives?

The above two charts have something in common. Both charts have the direct resource stars in the earthly branches of the year pillars and both the direct resource stars are in Death & Emptiness (DE). Direct resource stars also represent homes and since they were in DE, the owners can be said to be "homeless" in their past lives. Whether they were "homeless" for a good reason or not depends on the overall chart which I think it's a little too deep to be discussed here. Some could have been "homeless" because of their spiritual quests and stayed in temples, churches or monasteries while the less fortunate ones could have landed themselves in the old folks homes.

Most bazi softwares will show you the DE stars but for those who are interested, I will give you the formula for finding the DE stars. The DE stars are derived from the day pillar. As you know, there are altogether ten stems and twelve branches. So, if we match each branch with a stem, there will be two animals branches without stems. These two animals are the DE stars.

The stems that do not exist are the 11th and the 12th stems.

Look at the 1st chart with the xin-chou day pillar. Xin is the 8th stem. We have to add 3 and 4 to reach the 11th and 12th stems. Chou is the 2nd animal. When we add 3 and 4, we will arrive at the 5th and 6th animals. So, chen and si are the DE stars for the xin-chou day pillar. Please read again if you don't quite get it.

Now, take a look at the 2nd chart with the ding-wei day pillar. Ding is the 4th stem. We have to add 7 and 8 to reach the 11th and 12th stems. Wei is the 8th animal. When we add 7 and 8, we will arrive at the 15th and 16th animals. Since there are only 12 animals, the 15th and 16th animals are equivalent to 3rd and 4th animals. So, yin and mao are the DE stars for the ding-wei day pillar. Get it?

Since the DE stars are derived from the day pillar, you will never find a DE star in the day branch. As far as bazi theory is concern, many masters believe that the strength of the DE stars will be halved whether they are positive or negative. Well, some masters do not see it that way since there is a bias towards the day branch.

This is the chart of a very charismatic, charming, intelligent and popular lady who is a natural leader. Everybody seems to like her and will always listen to her. I'm not revealing her time of birth but suffice to say that she was born in the daylight hours.

This is a weak ren water day master with strongly rooted indirect resource stars. Using the ZiPing technical reading, when the positive resource metal star protrudes, then the 7K earth stars are also positive. It makes a world of difference between positive and negative 7K. When negative 7K star is found in the branch only, it makes the owner very cunning and calculative. As for this case, the positive 7K makes her a very firm, decisive and brave person with great ability to lead. As far as officer stars are concern, the best scenario is that the officer stars are positive with only one 7K star protruding and only one DO star in the earthly branch. This case is also very good with two positive 7K stars in the earthly branches. If there is another officer star in the stem or found as the main qi in another branch, then the quality of the positve officer stars will be greatly reduced.

The intelligence of this lady came from her strongly rooted resource metal stars. She has excellent records as far as academic achievements are concern, She scored straight As in every one of her major examinations and passed with 1st class honor in a tough tertiary degree course. She had even completed her Master degree.

Now, I will discuss her HVN star. The xu month is part of the yin-wu-xu fire frame. Ding fire is found inside xu. So, bing is her HVN star. Ren-xu represents a water pool in the mountains.

From the classical analysis, the bing which represents the sun, will make visible this pool of water since she was born in the daytime hour. The fire star, bing also represents her charisma and since bing is her HVN star, it will amplify her charismatic quality. So, the bing sitting beside the ren water day master makes her a very popular, charming and charismatic person.

From the technical analysis, the bing fire represents her negative wealth. Since bing is her HVN star, it will help to reduce the negative effect of losing money.

Just for discussion sake, if the hour stem is ji earth, then the quality of this chart will be greatly reduced although ji hour stem will make this into a cai-guan-yin chart. Firstly, the officer stars will become too strong and secondly, the ji earth will contaminate the ren water.

This is the chart of a relative of mine who has benefited when his HVN star appeared during the xin-chou luck pillar. He is presently in the geng-zi luck pillar. This xin metal day master is a weak one and so his self stars also represent his wealth stars. During his xin-chou luck pillar, not only his favorable xin protruded but the si and chou also pulled in the you rooster which has xin in it.

Let's analyse his HVN star. The si month is part of the si-you-chou metal frame. The metal star inside si is geng. So, xin is his HVN star and lucky for him, xin is in the day stem. This is an example of how a HVN star was activated when it appeared again in the luck pillar.

During his xin-chou luck pillar, he had a few windfalls from time to time. Of course, a person's wealth capacity also depends on the other factors in the chart. It makes the difference as far as the amount of money is concern. During one of his lucky days, he guessed correctly a set of 4 numbers out of 49. The probability for this feat is actually 1 upon 211,876.

​Please note that the HVN star does not necessarily represent lottery luck. It also means meeting with noblemen that can help you out in many ways including improving your business luck. Ideally, the HVN star must be positive and should not be clashed or be disturbed.

This is a weak geng day master and it harnesses wealth on its self stars. So, the protruding xin metal in the month stem represents his wealth. He was born in the si month and si is part of the si-you-chou metal frame. The metal star inside si is geng. So, his HVN star is xin. Just like the previous case, his HVN star also represents his wealth star. Bingo!

This is the chart of Bill Gates who is the richest man on earth and for a very long duration. His chart has to be very special and indeed, it is really very special. I have chosen the wu horse hour as his hour pillar so that it becomes a follower chart. A follower chart falls under special caterory and has many advantages. In this chart, all the stars in the natal chart are positve since the ren water day master wants to be weaken further.

Let's find his HVN star. He was born in the xu month and xu is part of the yin-wu-xu fire frame. The fire star found inside xu is ding. So, the other fire star, bing is his HVN star and there are two of them in the stems. The bing stars also represent his positive wealth stars. Simply fantastic!

His yi wood HO star is also instrumental in helping him to produce the fire wealth stars.
