The Earth Store Bodhisattva
Bazi is a  part of Chinese Metaphysics and this is an Art of the Heavens. So, it should not surprise you if the pillars can also represent the Chinese deities or even the Bodhisattvas. From my previous post, I have explained to you the reason why bing-shen represents the Monkey King. From our bazi charts, we can know which deity or Bodhisattva has affinity with us and praying to them can give us an added advantage.

The Earth Store Bodhisattva has vowed to empty the hell before attaining enlightenment and we can say that He is the highest authority in down under for undertaking such a great vow. Let me explain why the xin-chou pillar represents the Earth Store Bodhisattva. The xin in the stem represents his beautiful metal crown. Inside chou, we have another xin which represents the beautiful metal piece in his right hand. Of course, the ji earth represents the Earth Store Bodhisattva Himself and the gui represents all the hellish vapor beings. Please take note that the ji earth "controls" the gui water. So, all the hellish beings are under His charge. Since the two xin stars are the resource stars to gui, the great compassionate Bodhisattva will try His best to educate these beings. What a task!

Let me back up my case with a case study below.

When this 39 year-old lady came for a reading, she was suffering from acute kidney failure and had come to ask for direction. Most of the days, she couldn't sleep well because of the painful daily dialysis and wanted an explanation from her bazi chart. The bing-chen pillar shows that this lady has a kind heart and the xin-chou pillar shows her affinity with the Earth Store Bodhisattva. Obviously, she is paying a karmic debt as part of her purification process.

From the technical analysis, bing-xin transformed into water stars and thus making the chou a water season. So, from the ZiPing criterion, this ren water day master is a strong one and water stars are negative and strongly rooted in the season. Furthermore, the shen and chen pulled in the zi with the help of the transformed water lure in the stem and support of the season thus forming the shen-zi-chen water frame. Of course, kidney failure is water problem and too much negative water energy made it a severe one.

So, my advice to her is to go and pray to the Earth Store Bodhisattva. Amazingly, one day after her prayers, she had a vivid dream of the Earth Store Bodhisattva. Not long after, she was admitted to the hospital and a few days after that, she passed away peacefully. My interpretation is that the Earth Store Bodhisattva had come to ease all her pain and guided her to the afterlife. I hope she will have a better afterlife.

2016, bing-shen year
The bing-shen year will commence on the 4th of February in 2016 at about 1747 hours. Many people thought that the year of the monkey, shen represents the Monkey King. This is not true. Actually, the whole bing-shen pillar represents the Monkey King.

Bing represents the heavenly deity. Geng inside shen represents his magical metal rod. It is known that his home is called the Flower Fruit Mountain which has a beautiful waterfall and a water cave. So, wu represents the mountain and ren represents the water pool with the waterfall.

I believe that the Monkey King will exert his strong influence this year, especially to those who have strong affinity with Him. May He protect us from danger and help us expand our knowledge in Metaphysics since He is also one of the Masters of the Art.

I wish that this bing-shen year will bring you joy, happiness, success, peace and good health.

It is my intention in this blog to share my BaZi knowledge through case studies using mostly the ZiPing technical method. This technical method stresses on the production and the destruction cycles of the 5 elements namely wood, fire, earth, metal and water. However, in July 2016, I have decided to include the classical method as I believe that the correct approach towards BaZi is to blend both these methods.
