Real Threat of the Negative Bing

This is the chart of a man who had passed away recently in February 2016 due to the strong presence of the negative bing. A strong bing day master with another 3 negative bing stars in the natal chart. One in the hour stem and two inside the two si stars. Unfortunately for him, another bing appears in this bing-zi luck pillar and in this bing-shen year, there is the evil negative bing-shen fu-yin to cause the permanent damage.

In February 2016, there were 2 sets of shen-yin clash and multiple sets of shen-yin-si punishments.

What do think caused his death? Answer will be given in a few days time.

For those who are waiting for the answer, he died from a motorbike accident. He fell and died at the scene without colliding with any vehicle. Negative bing also represents "evil spirits" which can cause deaths from accidents especially when one is passing through "dirty" roads. Shen-yin clash is also known as the accident clash. For those who do not want bing in your charts, please be careful in this bing-shen year, especially in August, bing-shen month. Below is the chart for 12th August 2016 at the shen hour. I recently discovered your blog and have found it a wonderful addition to my studies. I am particularly grateful for your inclusion of Buddhadharma within your analysis and guidance; some well known masters leave this out for fear it might alienate Westerners like myself yet I feel that is a disservice to all as well as an indication of their karmic roots.

From the sutras, Shakyamuni Buddha taught a great mantra for those with excessive Bing and/or Shen-Yin/Shen-Yin-Si clash. This is the heart mantra of the great Maha Cundi Buddha Mother: "Om cale cule cundi svaha" in Sanskrit which I was taught as "Om tse Li, tsu Li, tsun ti so ha" in Chinese. This mantra protects the traveller from attack or disaster whilst on the go. Would this be a good dharma for those affected to practice?

Shen month also has Bing Zi day on the 22nd and Bing Xu on 1st Sept. These must represent a challenge particularly for those with Bing Wu and Bing Chen day masters, especially if they have a Shen, Yin or Si year of birth? Might you give any guidance as to how these clashes might manifest? To me, it seems that vacation season leaves excess Bing with Shen-Yin clash wide open to travel disaster on the peak date 12th August but then of all the elements isn't it the case that Bing alone can damage all others? Do these days represent a chance of significant problems or does the water within the rat and earth in the dog offer us some hope to calm the seasonal Bing's ferocity?

Hi Charlotte,

Bing is bad only if fire is negative in a chart. For those charts that need bing, then it can be good. It all depends on the charts.

Every religion has its way to pray for protection and apart from prayers, I think cultivating good virtues is even more important.

I couldn't agree more, Sifu! No words are so sacred to protect against evil if that evil comes from within our own hearts. Conversely, Yuen Liao Fan's ancient case study of himself vs destiny in The Four Essays on Karma should be a source of hope for all students of BaZi that despite the inconceivably high accuracy of Chinese metaphysics, nothing is fixed since a good heart that takes action can create a life that is no longer manifesting what charts would suggest. Good can always prevail.

If you have Bing in your charts, as I do, I hope this will be true for you. I have much to learn on this subject and very much appreciate your writing! I am aware of some things such as the strength of day master, the relationship between the gods and the balance of the chart overall yet where I have been finding your posts exceptional is in the way you would state what form a problem might take. For example, I know that Chen and Xu clash but I would not be certain quite what a Bing Xu day master should avoid during say a Bing Chen day this year. I can understand that the excessive Bing would be the reverse of Bing's normal representation of the heavenly deity, so in untimeliness is negative spirits. But how the clash of Chen to Xu equates, I am unsure other than it must be a major shake up if two mountain graveyards collide. Equally if it were Bing Zi clashing Bing Chen during Bing Shen year/month, I would again see a problem but not yet see exactly what! These are just examples off of the top of my head but I have been very much enlightened by your posts this year detailing what body part was affected by cancer and when. This is what shows you to be a master while my level is still very basic if I am honest.

In any case, thanks again. As it may be some time before I get to set foot on Malaysia's sunny streets again, maybe you can post your PayPal address so I can buy you gai fan (perhaps Choi fan!) one day as a token of my appreciation of your sharing your writing? Although I mostly lurk in the background and have not said hello till now, I always look forward to your posts since discovering the site at the start of Bing Shen and have told friends here in the UK to tune in. Yes, you are right that nothing is fixed. Bazi is just a road map and nothing is sure to happen. That is why taking the right actions can effect positive changes in our lives. My understanding is that bazi is 70% destiny and 30% consists of Heaven, Earth and Human. Heaven means a person's spirituality and prayers can effect some help from the above. Earth is good fengshui which can enhance our luck and well being and Human is taking the necessary right actions to avoid pitfalls and to realize good opportunities. Of course, if the 70% destiny is very good, then the chances of success is higher.

Theory wise, earth clashes between xu and chen or chou and wei mean moving house but in real life interpretation, it might not necessary mean moving house. If a person is selling his property, the chances of disposing his property is higher when there is an earth clash. Earth clashes also mean that all the metal, water, wood and fire stars are released from the graveyards and storage. The effect whether positive or negative or both has to depend on the chart.
