Ji-si pillar is an unhealthy pillar because the earth is very dry and cannot grow any plant or tree. The three ji stems sitting on two si stars is a picture of a hot and dry ground. The mao below ji is a seed waiting to grow and cannot grow if there is no water. So, gui water is the medicine for this scenario. Without the gui star, the owner will have poor health.
