This is the fifth chart from my readers. Here's her details.

1. Livia
2. Female
3. 26th October 1953
4. 1.15 pm
5. Romania
6. Retired teacher.

What is her Useful god? Please try first and scroll down for my answer.

This is a strong geng day master which is being sandwiched by the water stars. Technically, a strong metal day master wants the water output stars but picture wise, the geng day master being sandwiched by the water stars can turn rusty. So, this geng day master needs the ding fire to forge it. We also need the wood stars to protect the ding fire and arbitrate the water stars from clashing the fire star when it appears. Besides, we need the trees and plants to make the fertile ground useful.especially on the gui-wei pillar. So, the primary Useful god is the ding fire and the secondary Useful god are the wood stars.

Lwee,
Does having UG Ding fire in the Earthly branches of the 2 Xu dog and Wei goat which are negative resources to the strong Geng DM mitigate their negative influences on the daymaster?

Hi Penny,

Not really because the ding stars all locked up inside the earth are not easily usable.

Since the ding is locked up, can Ren/Gui be considered for use as UG ?

HI Sunil,

Useful god is the single most important star in a bazi chart but other positive stars are also usable. Output stars gui and ren are positive because this geng day master is a strong one. Gui is her HO star which represents her oral ability while ren is her EG which represents her ideas and creativity.

It is my intention in this blog to share my BaZi knowledge through case studies using mostly the ZiPing technical method. This technical method stresses on the production and the destruction cycles of the 5 elements namely wood, fire, earth, metal and water. However, in July 2016, I have decided to include the classical method as I believe that the correct approach towards BaZi is to blend both these methods.
