This is a weak geng day master with his wu earth indirect resource star in the year stem. This means that his fire officer stars are also positive but the fire stars do not protrude in the stems. The direct officer fire horse stars are also clashed by zi. Besides, the fire stars in the winter season are very weak. So, this chart will be more balance when the fire stars protrude. Water -> Wood -> FIRE -> Earth -> Metal. Between bing-yin and ding-mao, which is better?

In the ding-mao luck pillar, the zi-mao and mao-wu are all punishments. Since these stars are all the peach blossom stars, there can be problems with the opposite sex. So, the obvious choice is bing-yin. In the bing-yin luck pillar,

1. the bing fire will balance the energy flow as shown above.
2. the bing which represents the sun will warm up this winter afternoon.
3. the three sets of yin-wu are half combo of the yin-wu-xu positive fire frame.

Hi Master Lwee,

I am a complete novice. As a weak day master, shouldn't luck pillars with self element be more beneficial? This chart is already very hot. Thanks for your advice.

Hi Gold,

The metal, earth and fire stars are positive in this chart. So, the self stars are definitely positive.

In the winter season, fire stars are supposedly dead. Without any fire star protruding, the three wu horse stars are not really useful. We need to see a fire star in the stem so that this chart will be more balance.

It is my intention in this blog to share my BaZi knowledge through case studies using mostly the ZiPing technical method. This technical method stresses on the production and the destruction cycles of the 5 elements namely wood, fire, earth, metal and water. However, in July 2016, I have decided to include the classical method as I believe that the correct approach towards BaZi is to blend both these methods.
