This is a weak ding day master and it is very good that he has the jia wood stars in the stems. The jia wood stars will help to make beautiful the ding fire day master and help to control the wu earth. The problem in this chart is that the negative output earth stars are strongly rooted. Besides, the chou and chen stars are also destructing each other.

The gui and ren water stars are supposed to make the jia healthier but when they appear in the stem, they will be countered by the wu earth. So, I will choose the wood protruding luck pillar as his best luck pillar.

Between jia-xu and yi-hai, which will be better?

Jia is better in controlling the wu earth. The xu-chen clashes are not necessarily bad as the clashes will release more wood energies. However, the xu-chou is a punishment.

I will choose yi-hai as his best luck pillar because

1. yi wood is his favorable resource star.
2. yi wood can still control the wu earth although not that effective.
3. hai-zi-chou is his favorable water seasonal frame since water stars will grow the wood stars.
4. hai does not form any negative relationships with the two chen stars.

Hi Master Lwee,

When gui or ren comes, does wu earth can still counter the water stars even the wu is controlled or blocked by the jia stars in year and hour stems?

Hi bogie,

The earth stars are too strong to be fully controlled by the two jia wood stars. Although the earth strength has been reduced, it can still counter the water stars.

It is my intention in this blog to share my BaZi knowledge through case studies using mostly the ZiPing technical method. This technical method stresses on the production and the destruction cycles of the 5 elements namely wood, fire, earth, metal and water. However, in July 2016, I have decided to include the classical method as I believe that the correct approach towards BaZi is to blend both these methods.
