In May 2015, Forbes has listed him as the fourth richest hip-hop artist with a net worth of USD155 million. However, most of his wealth came from his stake in a company called VitaminWater. It was reported that he made USD100 million in 2007 as a minority shareholder.
The special event that happened in his life was that on the 24th of April in the year 2000, 50 Cent was shot 9 times at close range with a 9mm handgun and he didn't die. He was shot in his hand, arm, hip, both legs, chest and his left cheek. 50 Cent fully recovered just after only 5 months. In 2003, he became one of the world's best selling rappers with his debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin'.
